Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission D Secretary, Habib Muhammad bin Salim Alatas voiced his support for LH Agency's initiative to scale up low-cost sensors air quality sensor installations. "A special cross-regional coordination body should be formed to address air pollution involving Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek)," he said on Monday (3/24).

He also emphasized that addressing air pollution requires an integrated early warning system for real-time air quality monitoring across Jabodetabek.
"The development of an integrated cross-regional early warning system is necessary to anticipate deteriorating air conditions," he asserted.
He added that his party is committed to supporting air pollution control policies to ensure cleaner air for all Jakarta residents.
"Coordination in enforcing regulations against industries that are major sources of pollution, regardless of their administrative locations," he mentioned.
